The Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) hosted the WE Finance Code CEOs’ Breakfast Meeting at the Serena Hotel on August 21, 2026, bringing together 175 Chief Executive Officers, Senior Government officials, Development Partners and key stakeholders committed to advancing access to finance for women entrepreneurs. The high-level event was graced by CBK Governor Dr. Kamau Thugge; Deputy Governors, Dr. Susan Koech and Mr. Gerald Nyaoma; Ms. Anne Wang’ombe, Principal Secretary, State Department for Gender and Affirmative Action, and Harriette Chiggai President’s Special Advisor on Women’s Rights, who underscored the importance of coordinated action in advancing women’s economic empowerment. The meeting also brought together key development and implementing partners, including the World Bank, FSD Kenya and the African Development Bank (AfDB), alongside financial sector players and other WE Finance Code stakeholders.
